My Profile as an Video Game Artist in Games


Ok so this article is so you know my profile as a Video Game Artist in the realm of Video games or 3D/2D Artwork if you are a potential employer or hiring manager reading this article gets you a solid profile of me as a Video Game Artist and can help you understand why my application for a Video Game Artist position is most likely on your desk. In presenting this article I'm going to cover this using a series of questions.


What is my primarily role?

Primarily I'm a Software Development for Game Specialist


So how am I a Video Game Artist?

Being a Video Game Artist is an unnatural skill for me as before I became a Software Development Specialist for Games I was among the last who had art as a requirement in the Educational Field which means I have the concepts of art although I'm more of an untrained spirit or untamed Tiger. So I have concepts of drawing for reference to bring my unnatural ability as a Video Game Artist up to speed over time. This also allows me to step completely outside my comfort zone allowing me to think outside the box since I'm an unorthodox artist I taught myself art in world of Video Games primarily I'm a 2D/3D Character artist as I primarily sculpt my character head model then breakdown the body of my characters using tools such as Blender/iClone7/ and 3D Modeler. If I need my character in a 2D model I convert my character from 3D to 2D and work from there and if I need a cartoon version I most likely would be using a cartoon converter.


Can I draw characters ?

Yes but remember this is an untamed skill for me and I'm more of a untrained spirit so creating character drawings for me requires time as I have to hone my drawing skills then draw my character if I need to do so.


Can I draw environments?


Yes but same concept and process applies to me drawing characters as time is going to be needed.


As a 3D character Artist was is my strongest skill?

Hair as I'm highly advanced in this area and can ensure there are hair techniques I know that only certain amount of 3D Artist know and I even have 3D hair I primarily do that you won't find on the market.


Why am I a good choice for Art Lead?


My Skills valuable as a Lead Artist:

-I have the mind of an Artist so I can understand an Art Team

-Although Video Game Artist is an unnatural talent I'm very versatile as a 3D/2D Video Game Artist as I know tools such as Blender/3DS Max/ iClone7/ 3D Modeler/Zbrush/ Marmoset/ and Substance Painter which is a high list of software for Video Game Artwork

-I have a high understanding of the entire Art pipeline from creation to art asset implementation into popular game engines such as Unreal and Unity

- I have been Team Lead countless times for Video Game projects at this point this includes handling art assets

-My core skill is my creativity so I know how to come up with an idea for a game and create a blueprint for the Art style of the game.

-I also know what hardware and software you need to create and run Video Game artwork successfully from 3D software, art addons, UV mapping, how much ram you need, how much virtual ram you need, the paging files you need to have setup, and the high end graphics cards you need for your PC setup and your servers to make sure the artwork you create is successful.

- Since Software Development for Game Specialist is my natural skill I'm also ideal for importing all of the art assets as well as managing them due to previous experience as Team Lead.

- I'm also a Great Team Player I'm great in public speaking and can share the viewpoint of the entire development team since I know every area of development at this point.


So if you need a Lead Artist/ 3D/2D Character Artist I'm still the ideal choice for unconventional reasons as Blender/3DS Max/ iClone7/ 3D Modeler/Zbrush/ Marmoset/ and Substance Painter are listed skills.
